Giving Tuesday: FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Giving Tuesday?
A: Giving Tuesday is December 1, 2020, and is a global day of giving that happens every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. For the sixth year in a row, the NMSU Foundation will localize Giving Tuesday to the NMSU system and its students, rallying community support across our five campuses and online. We need all NMSU alumni and friends - not only around the state, but also across the country and the world - to help us make a difference for our students in New Mexico.

Q: Will there be Match Money?
A: No, while we were happy to provide matching funds for the first 5 years of Giving Tuesday, our matching program has ended. 2020 has brought many changes, one of which includes a conclusion of our gift-matching program. We encourage you to still consider making your contribution to the College, Department, Scholarship or Program that means the most to you.

Q: What will be taking place in lieu of the live in-person headquarters that is normally held at Corbett Center at the Las Cruces campus?
A: The NMSU Foundation will be going live and posting content throughout the day via social media, please make sure you are following our social media pages:
