Estate Planning

Provide support for NMSU in your estate. Our planned giving team is available to discuss your options – including opportunities to receive return income or other financial benefits during your lifetime. Learn more about your options.

To discuss your estate planning goals, contact the Office of Gift Planning at (575) 646-4358, or email Planned Giving.

Endowments provide permanent, self-sustaining sources of funding for the university. You can create an endowment in your name or in the name of someone of your choosing. Endowments are created with a minimum philanthropic investment of $25,000 – either as an outright gift paid over time or through a bequest from your estate.

To learn more about establishing an endowment at NMSU, call (575) 646-6126 or visit Endowed Gifts to learn how best to expedite your donation.

Corporate and Foundation Giving

Philanthropic partnerships with NMSU foster positive business, academic and community relationships for corporations and foundations.

To learn more about how your company or foundation can partner with the NMSU Foundation through charitable giving, for more information visit Corporate & Foundation Relations or contact a member of the team at CFR Team.

By donating common stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other appreciated securities, you may also receive tax benefits that include avoiding long-term capital gains tax and income-tax deductions.

Before transferring a stock gift to NMSU, please call (575) 646-4072 or email Gift Accounting to learn how best to expedite your donation.

Matching Gifts

Multiply your gift! Making use of an employer’s matching gift program enables you to double, or possibly triple, the dollars donated to the scholarships and programs of your choice. Employers handle matching gift programs differently, so we recommend that you contact your HR department directly or search Matching Gift Companies. It’s easy to have your gift matched. Simply fill out the form and send it to us - we’ll do the rest!

Questions? Email Gift Accounting or call (575) 646-6126.

Set up your gift one time, and it will automatically deduct from your credit card or checking account monthly or quarterly. Stop or adjust your gift at any time by calling (575) 646-6126 during business hours. You can also email us.
